September is Suicide Prevention Month and boy do we need to put a huge emphasis on suicide prevention.
Some of our immediately family has just been devastated with the news of a suicide of a very close friend.
What a gut wrenching flood of guilt that causes! The “what if’s alone” can smother those closely affected by a suicide.
It’s such a sad – sad thing – this old evil of thoughts of suicide.
But never EVER EVER fall prey to it! NEVER EVER!!! Because it’s never ever the answer!!!
You may be going through a rough patch and maybe it’s been a long – long rough patch. But there IS help out there!!!
And think of those you’ll be leaving behind. How are THEY going to cope after you’re gone? Suicide may take away the pain for one person – but think of the unbearable pain it’s causing those left behind.
Suicide is a permanent solution to what could be a temporary problem. And the sad thing is – some people that are in such despair – can hide it so well. How can we possibly help – if we don’t know?
This is just one reason why it’s so SO important to be kind to every single person we meet. We may feel like we have the weight of the world on OUR shoulders – but you just never know – the weight of the burdens – others are carrying.
STOP the vicious cycle of thoughts and actions of suicide!!! TELL A FRIEND – ASK FOR HELP!!!
Do you struggle with thoughts like these? Are you so burdened you don’t know which way to turn or even feel like you can or want – to go on?
If so – Call a friend – Go to the hospital – Call 911 – Call ANYBODY – call or message ME and I’m a nobody with no credentials – but I have a passion for unconditional love and helping others. I WILL help you find help!!! But don’t ever give up until you find help – AND YOU WILL – and life can and will be good again.
One number for a suicide hotline is 1-800-273-3255 (1-800-273-TALK)
NEVER hesitate to call that number or any of the above!
NEVER GIVE UP!!! Suicide is never ever the answer!!!
Every journey of a thousand miles – begins with a single step! EVERY SINGLE JOURNEY!!!
If you’re burdened beyond what you can handle – take that first step today!!!
Peace and lots of love – from Round Knob Canyon

Also if anyone is interested, I have found “Warm lines” to be very helpful! They are peer run anonymous lines which offer a kind ear and trained peer support. I once called to ask for call in hours for a friend I was worried about. Not only did they give me multiple phone numbers, they invited me to share my deep worries – o didn’t realize how upset I was and I felt big relief after our warm chat! Look into keyword “Warmline ” for a # near you!

I can’t really recommend this Em – because I’ve never heard of it and know nothing about it. But thanks for posting and I hope you stop back by soon. Kay
