Oscar Mouse, the little overworked computer mouse of Bird’s Eye View of the Katydid of Round Knob Canyon, lost his battle of working with The Katydid on Sunday morning, January 5th, 2014. The little jigger was only 1 year old.
Oscar Mouse gained world known recognition when his assistance allowed The Katydid to search, research, surf and blog to people all around this big wide world as she writes about such things as natural healing/living, home remedies, improving relationships, de-cluttering and getting organized, making our homes warm and fuzzy and just living our best life now. He loved his work with that blog and was a dedicated member of the Bird’s Eye View family for over a year. He will be sadly missed.
Oscar has been replaced by Softie, a brand spanking new Microsoft Mouse that has already taken up juicing with the
Geezer and the Katydid to build up a strong immune system and hopefully nerves of steel to assure his involvement in the continuance of Bird’s Eye View for a long time to come.
We request no flowers or gifts. However, you can show your love and appreciation for Oscar’s year of helping to send this blog to you, by doing a good deed for someone new…each day this week for the rest of the week. That good deed can be any simple thing for another un-suspecting person…that cannot repay you. A slice of pie to a neighbor, a covered dish to a shut in across the way, a card or letter to someone you haven’t talked to in quite some time…a quick tissue to the elderly lady about to sneeze behind you in the line at the grocery. It’s the little things that mean the most.
Computer Expert John Long (who makes house calls 618-638-2073) officiated the ceremony of switching of the two ‘mice’.
Rest in peace Oscar Mouse…We loved you dearly!
THIS AND THAT UPDATES: I had been telling Kim the last few weeks, that I wasn’t getting as many emails from you all since the accident and I hated that because I LOVED hearing from you. She said that you all were aware what a rough time I’ve had and you’re just giving me ‘space’ for a bit 🙂 I don’t know what John (computer repairman) did to my desk top while he was here yesterday, but I woke up at 5am today to over 2,200 emails in my incredimail email box. We had tried to install incredimail on my computer when he was here in July and couldn’t get it to install. WE THOUGHT… But something he did yesterday made it open and I found just tons and tons of emails from you all that I didn’t know were in my incredimail box.
Now there probably isn’t a way in the world I can get around to answering all of those emails…But I just want you to know that I WILL read EVERY SINGLE ONE over the next few days…and the ones really needing an answer….like my opinion on whatever you’ve asked…or advice on health and healing, etc. I WILL get those answered just as soon as I possibly can. I AM SOOO sorry this happened…..I ABSOLUTELY HATE computers. I don’t know HOW IN THE WORLD part of my emails went in my webmail and part in incredimail…
To those of you who’s emails went into the incredimail folder… praising my blog…you just have no idea what those kind words mean to me. Nothing warms my heart more than knowing this blog has made a difference to even one…and to hear it over and over, day after day about how you look forward to this blog and how it lifts you or puts a smile on your face or opens your eyes to something that may help you in some way…knowing that means the absolute world to me.
I read some of those emails first thing this morning…I was so excited to find them! And many other new bloggers or wanna be bloggers were asking questions about the design of the blog page and how I do this or that…KIM (our daughter) is the brains behind this blog. If it wasn’t for Kim, this blog would not have grown into what it is today…AND we have a long way to go to get to where we want to BE.
We start out TODAY, in fact…on a new adventure with this blog that should make a huge difference. And to those of you who are prayer warriors…I just ask that you pray, if you will…for even this new endeavor that Kim and I are taking off on today with the blog. I’ll update you on that when I can.
But just know…if you email me and you don’t get an answer within 24 hours…I didn’t get your email. Because I answer messages 3 times a day to be able to keep up with all of them. So if you don’t hear from me, then message me through facebook.
Peace and love from the canyon…I love you all gobs and gobs…and thanks SO SO MUCH for stopping by.
Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise…we’ll meet right back here tomorrow. Let’s all go out and make this one of the best days we’ve ever had. Now US? It’s about -10 degrees in Round Knob Canyon…so we’re going to do that RIGHT HERE 🙂 Love ya…talk to ya tomorrow!
