You will probably call me goofy - but one of my favorite things to do is have a reason to put together a gift bag for someone.
I absolutely LOVE giving gift bags and I love gift bags TONS MORE - than just giving a gift.
SO I'm sharing my own 5 Best Tips For A Stellar Gift Bag.
#1 - A gift bag should say "I'm giving this gift because I really care." Whoever you're giving a gift bag to - can quickly tell when they get it - if you had your heart in giving the gift bag or not. And if you're not going to have your heart in it - why do it in the first place?
#2 - A gift bag should contain a main gift and a few extras to add excitement and anticipation for the person getting the bag as they go through it. You want the person you're giving that gift bag to - to be going through it with the excitement of wonderin "OH WHAT am I going to find NEXT."
#3 - A gift bag should have multiple contents. And by that I mean it should have different kinds of things in different categories. It's my own personal opinion that a gift bag should contain a main gift - and that gift can be something as simple as a book or CD or DVD or large jar candle. And then you need about 3-4-5 smaller things to round out the bag and make it exciting to go through.
#4 - A gift bag should make the giver and the getter - feel warm and fuzzy about the bag in question. And the contents can make or break a gift bag.
#5 - Gift bags DO NOT have to cost much money at all. It's just a matter of putting on your thinking cap and coming up with contents that will be something good and something that will be appreciated and say "you care" and are giving that bag because you really want to give them a gift.
