What is Ayurvedic Medicine?
Just what IS Ayurvedic medicine? I almost have to stand on my head to try to say that word myself. I can just barely pronounce Ayurvedic after several trials and errors – but Kim can spit it out just like she’s saying “Creamed Cheese”. Ayurvedic medicine is the oldest form of Holistic Health and is a natural and very effective way of diagnosing and treating ailments and it originated in India. Ayurvedic medicine can rejuvenate every organ in your body, boost your immune system, remove poisons from our systems and is even said to be a good way to prevent and fight cancer.
What is Triphala?
I’ve talked about and taken Triphala for years! It’s probably the best known of the Ayurvedic supplements!
Triphala is good for all kinds of digestive problems! It’s said to lower cholesterol because it helps to rejuvenate the liver. The liver must be healthy to have a healthy cholesterol.
It can boost the immune system on it’s own and can even help with weight loss for the same reasons it helps with having a healthy cholesterol.
Triphala Ingredients
Triphala has 3 ingredients:
Amalaki
Bibhitaki
Haritaki
Kind of makes you think that the ‘aki’ on the end of each fruit is some kind of magical healing secret, doesn’t it?
Triphala – Zrii Products – Amalaki and More
Many are familiar with Amalaki from the recent popularity of the Zrii products. I took the Zrii Amalaki myself for a few weeks and can honestly say that within just a couple days, I felt better than I had felt in years! It appeared it was the amalaki doing the magic.
Then my body started absorbing too much of my heart medication and causing problems with that and my cardiologist said it was the Amalaki doing it. He just insisted I stop the Zrii products and had a fit that people were selling them to people on prescription medications, who were taking them without a doctors supervision.
I was just SICK I had to stop taking the Zrii Amalaki. It took us days to get me back on track with my heart medication. I was having palpitations and dizziness and some very scary things going on.
I had been so sold on Zrii Amalaki – I had bought tons of it and was just giving it away to friends and family. THEN I had to call those friends and family and say “Hey – about that Amalaki – I think you’d better pour it down the sink.”
But there’s only a tiny bit of amalaki in Triphala and that amount is OK!
Taking small amounts at a time is SO beneficial. Amalaki is just a fruit grown in India … but it just has such powerful healing properties … you have to take it in … in small quantities.
Triphala Benefits
Triphala is not only good for the things above, it’s good for the liver and gallbladder and so much more.
- Triphala helps to correct constipation, cleanses and tones the gastro intestinal tract
- Helps to detoxify the entire body and improves digestion and assimilation
- Triphala reduces high blood pressure and hypertension and improves blood circulation
- Triphala is also helpful in liver disorders, acts as an expectorant and corrects Diverticulitis (diverticulosis)
- Helpful in irritable Bowel Syndrome and Ulcerative Colitis
- Helpful as an anti inflammatory, anti viral and also stimulates bile-flow and peristalsis.
And it says – “If you have no mother, no worries as long as you have Triphala“
Now that simply means Triphala will pretty much help what ever area you’re having a problem with, just like our moms would do. It rejuvenates and gives a boost to your liver and digestive system – and you’ll never ever be really healthy without a healthy liver and digestive system. Triphala is just a super thing to take … even off and on as a preventative and rejuvenator by most all of us.
