Good Lung health is so critical – it’s literally the “breath of life!”
As you’re reading these very words you are slowly taking in one breath of life right after the other and you’re not even aware of it unless you already have bad lungs and if you do – each breath you take is already a chore.
But YES!!! You can make your lungs healthier – you just need to know what to do and then put one foot in front of the other one and just do it!
The bible says that God breathed into Adam ‘the breath of life.’ Now why do you think He DID that? Do you think with all He had to do He would have taken that extra time to breathe the breath of life if it wasn’t critical to life?
Without that breath of life – Adam would have been just a lifeless statue of a man.
So what happens the very minute each one of us come into this old world? We are swatted on our little bottoms and that swat – if it’s needed – makes us take in that first breath of life.
As we breathe from that moment on throughout our lives – that simple act of breathing and the rising and falling of our chest is taking in new air. New fresh air is so critical to our bodies that when we find that supply cut off or partially cut off – like in a smoke filled room or around someone with way too much cologne on – we are immediately seeking better air to breathe because the body critically needs that constant supply of fresh oxygen.
The Breath of Life
Let’s first talk about the breath of life. I mentioned earlier how God breathed the breath of life into Adam and how we take in that first breath of life when we’re each born. But did you know – the way most of us breathe every breath we take – is wrong???
Breathing Techniques
Stop right now and take about 5 or 6 breaths. Are you doing that? If not – then please DO IT NOW!!!
NOW – what did you do when you just took those 5 or 6 intentional breaths for this experiment?
I’ll bet you just took 5 of 6 breaths and maybe your shoulders raised just a bit – no big deal. It’s only breathing … RIGHT? NO!!! To breath RIGHT you must take a deep breath through your nose and breathe deeply into your TUMMY! Breathe so deeply that your tummy rises with that breath. Now blow that breath slowly out your mouth. If you’re doing it right – 2 or 3 breaths like that will make you slightly dizzy and that’s BECAUSE your body is not used to getting enough oxygen.
If you want to restore your lungs, you should be breathing like this several times a day and in the beginning – only take 5 or 6 breaths like that or maybe even 3 or 4 – until your body gets used to getting enough good oxygen … and then you won’t be dizzy when you do it. You will also find that you can talk and walk longer without getting winded. If you’re a singer – you can sing better without having to slip in a quick breath. It is amazing what just that one little thing will do for your lungs. AND we should all be doing that daily. Breathe in – let tummy rise with that breath – hold it a second and breathe it back out through your mouth and do that 3 to 5 times each session and at least 3 times a day. You should notice a difference in just about 2-3 days – let me know how that works for you.
WE CAN make our lungs healthier. But we can’t start tomorrow or next week or the first of next month. We must start YESTERDAY!!! Because – because of air pollution and all the other bad things – including bad breathing – that our lungs are exposed to each and every day – most ALL of us have lungs that are not in very good shape. By doing some of the small things we’ll be talking about – eating right and taking deep breaths to cleanse the lungs and juicing if you can and taking just a few supplements – so many small things can make such a big difference. But the main thing IS you must stop doing all the bad things and you must stop them NOW!!!

And we will be talking about how we get lung cancer, the stages and treatments and how to possibly turn it around, how to detox our lungs and make them healthier and stronger and also just a few little interesting facts about our lungs and lung health.
