Obesity the Avoidable Killer
Let’s talk about obesity this morning! DO YOU REALIZE that obesity is considered one of the most avoidable killers of the 21st century? BECAUSE if we’re overweight … all we have to do is start today to reverse that ‘disability’ and get ourselves healthy.
If you are given the choice of having high carb foods and drinks each day OR eating fairly healthy and getting a little exercise and add an extra 15-20 plus years to your life … which would YOU choose?
YOU HAVE THAT CHOICE!!! And I’m reinforcing that choice for you RIGHT NOW!
YOU CAN START TODAY … to add healthy, happy years to your life. DO YOU KNOW how many extra hugs are in 15-20 years? DO YOU KNOW how many fun and memorable times would be IN that 15-20 years? And you’re throwing it all to the wayside and giving those times NO HOPE OR CHANCE of happening … and over what? A day of fatty foods … day after day after day! When you could eat healthy 5-6 days a week and have a day of ‘fun eating’ every week … and add years to your life.
Do you want to live to eat and live a short life … OR eat to live and add years of health and happiness?
My Young Obese Friend
I have a passion for helping people that are morbidly obese. And I think I’ve acquired this passion because of a very close friend who weighs about 460 pounds. He can’t hardly walk or get up and down. Can’t walk any distance at all. Has problems breathing and is constantly in pain because of the weight on his hips and knees. I’ve tried to help him by donating healthy foods … but he washes the healthy foods down with Hostess Ding Dongs and Coca Colas. I GET SO FRUSTRATED … because he’s a very young man … and I want him to have many good years ahead of him.
Obesity is when we have 20% more (or more) body fat than our bodies need. Just losing 10% of our body fat can make a huge improvement on our health. I found that 1/3 of all adults in the US are obese. And 17% of our youth. That’s about 78 million adults and 12 million youth.
Obesity Rates
NO state has an obesity rate under 21% … CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? And the lowest obesity rate is in Colorado, believe it or not. I’d think it would be in California, Florida or Hawaii … where the temps are warm and people can be out and about more. The HIGHEST obesity rate in the US is in Arkansas.
Obesity increases the risk of so many diseases … cancer, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, joint problems from carrying the weight, breathing problems and sleep apnea … GOODNESS and this is VOLUNTARY because all those folks have to do is start today to lose that weight. AND YES IT CAN BE DONE!!!
OBESITY IS VERY AVOIDABLE!!! And I’m here to help. If you want to tackle this problem but don’t feel you can do it alone … MESSAGE ME!!! I’ll be right there with you all the way! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
Obesity – The Possible Answer
IF you have trouble losing weight or even knowing what to eat … I HIGHLY recommend the Jorge Cruise book “The
100″ and it’s available on amazon. At least read the reviews of people that followed this diet. It really isn’t a ‘diet’ in itself. You don’t count calories or any of that tedious stuff. You just watch your sugar and carbs, mainly. And I know several people personally who have changed their life with the Jorge Cruise program.
