Depression and Anxiety: Natural Remedies That Work For Clinical Depression and Anxiety
Major/Clinical Depression and Anxiety. What in the world would grandma say about depression and anxiety?
Well in the first place, Grandma had an old time remedy or cure for most ills. You had to have them at your own fingertips back in those days because 9 times out of 10 you just had to be your own doctor and pharmacy. And grandma was almost always – ready with a cure that worked.
But on this one she’d probably tell us to:
1- Slow down our life style.
2- To lean more towards family and a good home life. Grandma would say –
3- Read our bible more and for goodness sake child – talk to God every single day!
Grandma would say “You know you were raised to “take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.”
This is one of the reasons many say “Grandma was a smart old cookie!” 🙂
And depression and anxiety will almost always respond quickly and within about 3 days to Vitamin B Complex, Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc combo, and Vitamin D3.
You will be amazed how much better you feel in 3 days if you just take those few things daily.
We recommend Soloray Vitamin B Complex, and Finest is a good brand of Mag/Cal/Zinc.
For Vitamin D3 most name brands are good – but we use Nature’s Bounty or Finest or even Spring Valley.
I’m not a fan of Nature’s Made even though you see it everywhere. 🙂
Turmeric is also very good and you can take 1/2 tsp of the kitchen spice daily or take it in a pill form. But you really need to take about 300 mg – 3 times a day for about the first week to 10 days – to get it in your system. THEN you can back off to once or twice a day if you’d like.
Turmeric is wonderful – for so many things – like building the immune system, arthritic problems and it’s a super anti cancer aid so much more.
I’ve had ladies message me about their depression and anxiety and ask for help and I’d recommend these few supplements and they’d say “Oh no – you don’t understand – mine is serious – I have ‘major depression’ Or “I have clinical depression”! “I’m on 2 prescription anti depressants – my depression can’t be treated with food.”
I always say “Just please give these a try and get back to me in 4 days.”
I’ll hear back from them and they’ll say “I CAN’T BELIEVE how much better I feel. HOW did THIS work – when my prescriptions didn’t help that much?”
Well – because in the first place, your body wasn’t missing a nutrient called “Prozac” or “Celexa” or any of the other prescription meds.
It was likely missing magnesium, some of the B vitamins that support your nervous system and immune system and all these things just work together to support a very healthy nervous system.
Most folks feel an amazing difference when they start these and usually within 3-4 days.
Turmeric is so helpful for folks with depression and anxiety – it’s called a natural Prozac.
So BINGO!!! You’re now smiling – your spouse and kids are happier too – and you’re back on track.

Thank you so much Frances for stopping by. Our blog is kinda under reconstruction during July – but we’ll be back in full force the first of August – and we’ll be posting even between now and then. I’d love to get to know YOU and learn what you’re doing that you feel like 40 again 🙂 I’m 70 and my husband is 71 and we could literally work circles around most people half our age … and do 🙂 But I’d LOVE to talk with you more in messenger. Hope you stop back by often … Kay
