Ginger will help clear lungs of lingering pollutants and you can add ginger to your juice if you do home juicing – or take a supplement. Ginger also stimulates the immune system and protects against colon cancer. It’s said to kill ovarian cancer cells and is a great anti inflammatory. What a powerful thing it would be to your system – to get a little ginger in some form, into your system – once every day or two.
Turmeric – Is said to kill cancer cells and it’s the cucumin there – that blocks the enzymes that promote the growth of cancer cells. Turmeric is in yellow mustard and it’s also good for muscle spasms and works almost instantly. While working with our son during his flood clean up and repair – I can’t tell you how many times he’d run and grab the mustard and just eat 1 TBSP because his hands or legs were cramping so badly. One day I set down with him right after I saw him do this and he was in so much pain – and I said “Let’s time that and see just how quick it works.” Literally in just 5 minutes he was up and working and raring to go – pain gone. IT IS AMAZING!!! And amazing for so many reasons. Turmeric is one of the top 14 foods that protect against cancer. So we all need to add that to our diets daily too. It also improves blood circulation and is a natural liver cleanser. It helps plaque build up in the arteries! Adding turmeric to our daily diet is one of the best overall things we can do for our health. And it only takes 1/4 to 1/2 tsp daily to do it’s magic. Now I can take turmeric in mustard like Kevin does – but I don’t care for the taste of turmeric the spice. SO we take turmeric supplements and we’ve done the spoonful of mustard a time or two also.
Magnesium – OH my GOODNESS!!! I could talk all day about magnesium. It regulates the heart and makes it stronger and does so many critical things for us – but we’re talking about lungs here today and it is crucial in increasing lung capacity. I recommend the Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc combo at Walmart. It’s a hard chalky capsule, so I bite it to break it up so it will dissolve faster.
Himalayan Salt Lamps – Now this one is going to sound like voodoo to those of you not that familiar with how natural things work. But just the simple act of having a Himalayan Salt Lamp in your home – will help to purify the air you breath daily. It’s good for asthma, sinus problems and anything to do with breathing or the lungs.
Last week I bought Kevin and Kim each a small Himalayan Salt Inhaler. I got it for Kevin because he’s been so congested since the flood clean up and he coughs all the time. I also got one for Kim because she has sinus problems and she says she feels like she can tell a difference already and she’s only breathing in that Himalayan Salt inhaler about 3 times a day. I found them on amazon when I was researching reviews of the Himalayan Salt Lamps and the raves sold ME. It’s about the size of a lip balm and is said to really work wonders with lung congestion, sinus congestion and other breathing problems.
We have a choice every single day on any and all health issues we face. We can coast along and feel bad or even get progressively worse – OR we can take steps to restore our health issues.
