Infused Water – The BEST Cleanse and Detox Drink out there and you can have it in your own home for pennies a day. Do you buy the fancy vitamin waters at umpteen dollars a bottle? Did you know you can make a much healthier and more pure and delicious vitamin water at home for pennies? Infused Water – The Best Cleanse and Detox Drink out there and that’s what we’re going to talk about today!
I LOVE infused water and had never even given any thought to buying any of those vitamin waters – but I’m making this stuff daily and it only takes 30 seconds. It’s a way of getting your daily water, crucial vitamins and a homemade treat at the same time. Infused water is also called “Spa Water” and “Sassy Water” and it’s SO much better for you than all those vitamin waters on the market today.
I’m just not a fan of drinking plain old water and I never have been. SO imagine my delight when I learned of homemade infused water that was loaded with vitamins and was a cleanse and detox at the same time.
Benefits of Drinking Water
I KNOW that water helps carry nutrients and oxygen to our cells. AND I KNOW it helps to convert our food to energy. AND I KNOW it gives us healthier skin and helps with tummy acid and flushes toxins and is so good for our kidneys. AND I KNOW drinking water is crucial for over all good health and that being hydrated gives us energy and goodness most all of us could use more energy these days.
What I DIDN’T know – was that drinking 5-6-7 glasses of water a day can decrease your risk of heart disease by a whopping 41%. Now THAT is a major finding and a super reason to drink water all by itself.
MY OWN Homemade Infused Water
When I first learned of infused water – I wasn’t too impressed. I thought “HOW can a couple slices of lemon or lime or whatever – give much of a flavor to water IF you don’t like plain water?” SO I decided to go overboard – as I’m prone to do on most things and I put in 2 big slices of lemon, 2 big slices of lime and 2 big slices of a navel orange and then squeezed just a bit from another slice of each one into the water – filled the glass with our own delicious well water – put the lid on really tight and shook the dickens out of that glass and put it in the frig for 8 hours like directions say to do.
When I took it out – I was SHOCKED at how refreshing and delicious that water was. Absolutely delicious and refreshing.
I had made 2 fruit jars of the infused water and I took Geezer his and he said “Well it’s ok – but could you put a couple spoons of sugar in mine?” I said “THIS IS SPA WATER – WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO PUT SUGAR IN IT!!!” He said “Well it’s a little tart to me – I think I need more orange squeezed in there if I’m going to like it.” SO Geezer gets more orange squeezed in his waters.
We had been on this a couple days and I decided to make an infused water with strawberries and blueberries since our freezer was full of both. I didn’t do any squeezing of their juices on this one – but I made them one evening and that only took about 30 seconds and I put them in the fridge overnight and gave Geezer his at his mid morning break and he said “WOW – now I REALLY like THAT one.” Geezer is SUCH a super Guinea Pig. My mom used to tell people about my experiments and she’d say “Kay could poison Billy in a heartbeat – because he’ll eat or drink any concoction she puts in front of him.”
Geezer Calls Me A Good Doctor
You’ll just love this infused water – I hope you’ll give it a try. It’s just plain old water and I strongly suggest if you don’t have good well water – you use 100% pure spring water. And even on the spring waters from the grocery you have to read the labels – because some companies try to sneak things in them.
Infused water – the best cleanse and detox drink available today and SO delicious. Just a super delicious way to get your daily water in for the day and add a few vitamins at the same time.
