“How Full is Your Bucket” is the first lesson we’re studying in Kid’s Club at Weaver Creek. We had planned on just studying that the month of October, but we got a late start getting the club going, so we’re going to let that run through November.
Does your bucket normally run on full or empty?
So looking back on yesterday … how full do you feel your bucket was when you started your day this morning?
I’d say mine was pretty full … and I don’t say that to sound snooty. Snooty isn’t becoming on anyone and especially on ME with this wall flower look and Sharon hair. With what I have going for me… or don’t 🙁 I need every good thing I can have in my day/life.
But I did quite a few good deeds yesterday for others … even as busy as my normal day was.
Now I may have lost a drop or two along the way … I’m no were near perfect. But all in all … I gained a lot more drops than I lost.
Positive Thinking
If you send a card or letter to someone today … or if you compliment someone sincerely, or if you take a plate to a shut in neighbor when you fix your own meals today … or any number of a gazillion other things. ALL THOSE GOOD DEEDS AND KIND WORDS … add drops of water to your bucket.
HOWEVER when we are sarcastic with someone or rude … or if we give someone a dirty look or do any number of a gazillon things to make them feel bad … drops of water are taken out of our buckets each time that happens.
And the idea is … to go through life with your bucket just as full as you can make it.
It’s really a very easy thing to do …
Just be kind and thoughtful
instead of mean and selfish.
How Full is Your Bucket?
SO how full was your bucket when you started your day this morning? AND how full would you like it to be when you get to the end of your busy day today?
We need to think about this every single day and we need to picture invisible buckets over the heads of everyone we meet along the way each day.
When you get to the end of your day today …
will you bucket be full … or empty?
Your bucket can be as full … or empty … as you want it to be.
It’s all up to YOU!
I LOVE this story!!!
It was a scholastic book and the message was GOLD!
Love you all … and thanks for reading
